Job Description:

Accounting Supervisor Overview: The Accounting Supervisor reports to the VP Finance/Corporate Controller and is responsible for managing the month-end close process, applying accounting principles to analyze financial information, preparing accurate financial reports, and ensuring proper accounting controls and compliance procedures. Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate general ledgers with proper documentation of assets, liabilities, and transactions Prepare and review month-end journal entries and adhere to close schedules Complete monthly balance sheet account reconciliations with attention to detail Prepare consolidated financial statements and analyze data to identify trends for management Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting activities Ensure compliance with accounting standards and maintain adherence to GAAP Implement and maintain strong internal controls to prevent fraud and errors Assist with new accounting pronouncements implementation Support external auditors during year-end financial and 401K audits Provide assistance to the finance leadership team on various projects Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting CPA and Public Accounting experience preferred 5 years of relevant work experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Power BI Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and relevant regulations Strong communication and organizational skills Detail-oriented with excellent analytical abilities Effective time management and prioritization skills Demonstrated commitment to quality and professional excellence
