A growing company in the commercial equipment space is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to support project quoting and cost analysis. This role focuses on estimating for specialized equipment layouts and system installations across a variety of commercial environments. The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing technical documents, preparing cost estimates, and coordinating with internal teams to support successful bidding and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Develop accurate cost estimates and formal quotes for custom equipment and system installation projects.


Review architectural and technical drawings to assess project scope and requirements.


Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to gather pricing and identify cost-effective options.


Maintain internal pricing databases and vendor contact lists.


Analyze bid packages and requests for proposals to ensure alignment with project needs.


Track active quotes and assist with revisions based on updated specifications or client feedback.


Contribute to scope adjustments and value engineering efforts as needed.



Qualifications

2-3 years of estimating experience in construction-related or equipment/system installation industries.


Familiarity with specialized layouts or system-based project requirements (e.g., utilities, infrastructure, technical installations).


Ability to read and interpret construction documents, specifications, and technical drawings.


Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other estimating or ERP platforms.


Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.


Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.



Preferred Skills

Experience using industry-standard estimating tools such as AutoQuotes, AutoCAD or Revit.


Understanding of mechanical, plumbing, or utility systems related to specialty equipment.


Knowledge of regulatory standards and safety guidelines relevant to commercial installations.
