Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Step Down Duration: 14 weeks Shift: 7:30 PM - 8:00 AM Hours per Shift: 11.50 Experience: Minimum of two years in Medical/Surgical Step Down or ICU experience. Experience with IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation. License: Client Registered Nurse License. Primary Source Verification required. Certifications: AHA BLS certification. AHA ACLS certification. Must-Have: Evidence of graduation from an accredited National League of Nursing School. Baccalaureate degree or satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education, and experience. Demonstrates satisfactory completion of age-specific competency. Description: RN to patient ratio is 1:4, ranging from young adults to geriatrics. Monitor patients with medical equipment such as catheters, feeding tubes, tracheostomies, ventilators, and cardiac monitors. Provide care for patients transitioning out of the ICU who require more care and attention than patients on a general medical-surgical unit. Perform frequent patient assessments and escalate changes in medical condition appropriately. Respond to cardiac arrest and rapid response codes.
