Job Description Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) ED - Emergency Department for a nursing job in Edgewater, New Jersey. Part-time Associates who have completed their probationary period can move to full-time vacancies within their department provided such movement will not unreasonably reduce the operational efficiency of that department. Probationary period is three (3) months for full-time employees, and four (4) months for part-time employees who works more than 3/5 of the normal workweek. Probationary period will not apply to shift changes. SUMMARY OF POSITION: It is expected that all Service Associates will function as members of a team dedicated to support the highest quality care and services to our patients by assisting in such functions as maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment; assisting with dietary aspects of care; facilitating communication, i.e., answering phones; transporting patients and assisting visitors. As an integral part of the team, the Service Associate is responsible for activities which promote patient focused care within the Care Center. SCHEDULED HOURS: 11:00 PM -7:30 AM. Alternate weekends. EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: - High School Graduate or equivalent with vocational/technical training preferred. - Effective English communication skills, both written and oral.
