Posting Summary The Department of Chemical and Biochemical
Engineering ( CBE ) at Rutgers University-New Brunswick invites
applications for a non-tenure track teaching faculty position in
the areas of biomanufacturing and pharmaceutical engineering. This
is a long-term, career-oriented position with the possibility of
reappointment and promotion through the university’s teaching
faculty track. This position aligns with the School of
Engineering’s ( SOE ) strategic priority areas in Healthcare
Technology and Experiential Learning and Professional Education. We
seek a dynamic educator with experience in the biomanufacturing or
pharmaceutical industry who is passionate about preparing students
for impactful careers and advancing workforce development in these
fields. The successful candidate will contribute to CBE’s teaching
and experiential learning mission while helping to strengthen the
department’s connections with industry. Responsibilities may
include teaching graduate and undergraduate chemical engineering
courses, developing new courses in biomanufacturing and
pharmaceutical engineering, and contributing to the growth of the
CBE experiential education program by expanding co-op and
internship opportunities, coordinating industry-linked projects,
and supporting students’ professional preparation. The faculty
member in this position is expected to use evidence-based,
student-centered teaching practices and incorporate
industry-relevant content to help students build the knowledge and
skills needed for professional success. Depending on interests,
expertise, and departmental priorities, the role may also involve
developing industry-sponsored capstone projects, mentoring
students, collaborating on educational grants, and participating in
service, recruitment, and outreach activities. The CBE Department

Chemical and Biochemical Engineering enrolls more than 210
undergraduate and 110 graduate students and includes 20
tenure-track faculty and one full-time teaching professor. Located
