Software Engineer, Vertical Lift (Experienced or Senior)

several Vehicle Management System (VMS) Software Engineers
(Experienced or Senior level) to join our Vertical Lift Software
Development team located in Ridley Park, PA where we work on
multiple Boeing programs, including V-22, H-47, Enterprise
DevSecOps , and others. This position will focus on supporting the
Boeing Defense Services (BDS) business organization. As a full-time
Software Engineer within the Vertical Lift Software Development
team, you will develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse
Vehicle Management software systems (e.g. Flight Control Systems)
across the software development lifecycle. You will work closely
with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable
products, develop and maintain code, integrate software components
into a fully functional software system, and play a key role in the
testing process to ensure our deliverables meet the highest
standards. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of
experience levels including Experienced and Senior Level Software
Engineers. The Boeing Vertical Lift organization builds and

Position Responsibilities: Implements, deploys and maintains
software systems for vehicle management applications in compliance
with internal and industry standards, processes, and regulations.
Partners with cross functional engineering teams to identify,
review and inform requirements and specifications for vehicle
management. Develops vehicle management software and partners with
stakeholders to integrate externally generated functions into
vehicle management systems. Develops test plans and test cases for
vehicle management software validation. Performs verification,
validation, and integration processes for vehicle management
software in compliance with internal and industry standards and
regulations. Provides input on software implementations during
system-level design and architecture. Investigates and resolves
vehicle management software-related issues reported by users or
that occurred during system operation. Develops and maintains
software documentation, including design documents, user manuals,
and technical specifications. Implements current and emerging
technologies, tools, frameworks, and methods in vehicle management
software development. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/
Experience): Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline 5 years
of experience with full life-cycle software development, modeling,
simulation, testing, and/or analysis using C, C++, C#, Python,
Java, Ada, and/or Linux 5 years of experience with engineering
development lifecycle tasks (requirements, design, software, test,
and integration) Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 10 or more
years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of
education and experience Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering,
Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology),
Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry 5
years of experience with C, C++, C#, Python, Java, Ada, or Linux
Active US Secret Security Clearance Familiar with aircraft systems,
including flight control and mission systems Experience with
DO-178C avionics software development and certification (formal
DO-178C training or certification preferred) Experience working in
Agile software development framework Experience with Git and CI/CD
pipelines Experience with DOORS Knowledge of specification format
requirements, guidelines, and change control processes.
Understanding of relationship between specifications/standards and
aircraft/product certification systems. Experience learning new
tools, following detailed processes and instructions, and
communicating results in both written and verbal formats Drug Free

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well
as market and business considerations. Summary pay range /
Experienced Level (Level 3): $135,150 - $182,850 Summary pay range
/ Senior Level (Level 4): $171,700 - $232,300 Potential signing
bonus for eligible/qualified external candidates. Language
