Job Description:

Nesco Resource is looking for a Toolmaker in Waterbury, CT. This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate. Shift: Monday-Friday 6:30AM-3PM Pay: Depending on Skills and Experience Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Toolmaker with a minimum of 7 years in the trade to join our precision manufacturing team. This position requires a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail, with a focus on producing high-tolerance carbide and steel tooling to blueprint specifications. Key Responsibilities: Manufacture precision parts and custom tooling using conventional machines, EDMs, and Prototrak mills (2- and 3-axis) Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings and blueprints Maintain tight tolerances ranging from 0.0002 " to 0.0005 " Utilize a variety of materials including: Aluminum Mild steel Tool steel Alloy and stainless steels Titanium Various plastics Apply a thorough understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) Operate and maintain manual EDM machines Work in a small team environment within a specialized carbide tooling department Ensure quality, accuracy, and timeliness of finished parts Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines Follow safety and operational protocols at all times Qualifications: Minimum 7 years of toolmaking experience in a precision machining environment Proficient in reading blueprints and applying geometric tolerancing Hands-on experience with Prototrak mills (2- and 3-axis programming required) Skilled in conventional machining and EDM operation Strong knowledge of various metals and plastics used in toolmaking Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship Willingness to work overtime as needed Experience working in a carbide tooling department Familiarity with quality assurance processes and inspection tools Ability to stand for extended periods Manual dexterity for fine detail work Lifting and handling materials and tools as needed Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
