Job Description:

New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is actively seeking an Electrician for a 4-month Contract position with the potential for a contract extension or conversion. Compensation: $35.50 per hour The main function of an electrician is to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures. A typical electrician is responsible for inspecting, testing, maintaining or repairing electrical equipment. Job Responsibilities: Measure, cut, and bend wired and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools. Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order. Perform semi-skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment. Disassemble defective electrical equipment, replace defective or worn parts, and reassemble equipment, using hand tools. Examine electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation and tighten connections, using hand tools. Required Qualifications: 5 years of commercial/industrial electrical experience. Active Journeyman’s electrical license. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks efficiently. Computer skills necessary to interface with machinery programs. Demonstrate a high level of communication, cooperation, and teamwork with team members and fellow employees.
