Job Title: Controller and Post-Award Grants Manager Location:
Philadelphia, PA Hybrid Role - 1 day/week onsite in Philadelphia,

accounting manager Supervisory experience Strong computer skills
with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access) Experience
with enterprise-level accounting software (e.g., Abila MIP) Federal
grant financial reporting and indirect cost allocation experience
Controller and Post-Award Grants Manager Summary: Working with the
Director of Finance, the incumbent will be responsible for the
overall financial management of the Company and its affiliated
companies. The incumbent will oversee the recording of expenses,
preparation of invoices, review and authorization of payments,
reporting on the corporation’s financial position, preparation of
budget forecasts, and analysis by project of the Company financial
position. Working with the Senior Director, Grants & Contracts, the
incumbent will be responsible for the financial aspects of federal
and commercial grants on behalf of the Company and its affiliated
entities. The incumbent will be responsible for the processing and
tracing of subcontractor invoices, processing patient/site payments
and financial reporting. This is an exempt supervisory position.
Controller Responsibilities Working with Director of Finance,
oversees all modules of the corporation’s accounting system.
Supervises the Staff Accountant and Account Support Specialist and
assists Director with review of work prepared by other Finance
staff, where needed. Oversees preparation of invoices to ensure
that all relevant costs have been captured. Prepares detailed
operating budgets, MOUs and projections based on input from program
personnel and executive management. Monitors cost activity in
accordance with the established budgets and advises executive
management of material variances. Working with Director of Finance,
oversees and/or prepares financial reports as required including
the income statement, balance sheet, project cost reports, indirect
cost reports, Accounts Receivable aging report, etc. Oversees
monthly General Ledger account reconciliations. Prepares budgets
for proposal submissions Provides direction on general accounting
and payroll activities to professional and administrative staff.
Attends relevant meetings as requested. Provides appropriate status
reports and communicates financial concerns to the Director of
Finance and Vice President of Operations. Post-Award Grants Manager
Works with Grants and Contracts Department to oversee all financial
aspects of federal and commercial grants administered by the
Company. Responsible for managing the travel reimbursement process
for federal grants administered by the Company. Maintains all files
required for payment under federal grants Responsible for
generating all required reports related to federal commercial
grants Responsible for the allocation of indirect costs applied to
federal grants across all time periods. Ensures that federal
monetary limitations for the application of indirect expenses per
subcontract/per grant are not exceeded Oversees Inputting and
reporting on all patient reimbursements and milestone payments to
be distributed to Cooperative groups and individual sites. Working
with Director of Finance and Senior Director of Grants and
Contracts, prepares and timely submits the annual indirect cost
rate proposal for the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.
Tracks expenses associated with subcontractor invoices received
under federal grants for the Company. Ensures that subcontractor
invoices are reviewed and paid in a timely manner and monetary
limitations for federal grants and contracts are not exceeded.
Responsible for communicating with the Director of Finance, Senior
Director of Grants and Contracts and other related personnel
regarding requests submitted through the Payment Management System
(PMS). Coordinates additional requests made for inclusion within
PMS submissions. Experience Ten years’ experience working as a
controller, or accounting manager Supervisory experience Strong
computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel,
Access) Experience with enterprise-level accounting software (e.g.,
Abila MIP) Federal grant financial reporting and indirect cost
allocation experience Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting or
related discipline from an accredited college or university is
